Make sure that you are not trapped in an abusive and loveless relationship with the man of your dreams. Is your Prince Charming moving away from you? Does he have someone else in his life? Nikita warns us of the ten telltale signs that are enough for your red flags to go up! Here’s the secret to your love meter, in the weekly column, exclusively in Different Truths.
Women are gifted with the power to feel, they have a strong intuition and instantly know when a man is pretending to be someone he is not. Seldom, it becomes a perfect illusion and women can be stuck in an abusive and loveless relationship for over a decade.
Here are the 10 signs, which are warning signals in a love relationship asking you to walk away.
- You are not his Priority
“I am busy this weekend”, “My friends are coming over tonight”, “I would not be able to help you”, “I do not like PDA” – when you continuously hear these words from your partner, you should accept that you are not his priority. You could be a second choice, mistress, side piece, or a manipulated secret.
- You find yourself always Texting/Calling him First
All couples go through difficult days but if you are the only one apologising always, there is something wrong with him. If he really loved you, he would do everything to keep you. If your absence does not make him uncomfortable, he is not the one you should be planning your babies with.
- He puts you Aside on Important Days
It is his father’s birthday or best friend’s bachelor’s and you have no idea what he is planning for them. He avoids you completely when he has to buy gifts for the family or plan a surprise party for his friend. He shares little to nothing about what is happening in his life.
- One word answers
You are always forcing him to talk. There is clearly a lack of communication between you both. He replies late and often sends a hmmm or okay for a paragraph of yours. He is reluctant to talk about important matters of your relationship.
- He is all about you, but only when you are Physically Together
He seems to be the nicest man in the whole world when you are physically together. He says stuff like, “You’re so beautiful”, “I’ve missed you so much” and “I so want to get married to you right now” only when he is in bed. Otherwise, he forgets to call you for days and pretends to be busy all the time.
- Your Friends do not approve of him
However, it is always better to follow your heart but sometimes we need to pay heed to what our closest friends say about our relationships. If he cares for you, he will make your friends feel special too. We can go blind in love and our friends could be our only saviour those days.
- It is always about his Problems, not yours
- He compares you with his Ex-girlfriend
This is a huge red flashing light. If he compares you with his friend’s girlfriends or his own ex-girlfriend, it is a high time to walk away. He makes you feel let down in front of his friends and makes fun of you all the time. He checks out women when he is with you unapologetically.
- He shows interest in your friends
You will always know when he is crossing the boundaries. He starts meeting your friend without letting you know about it. He asks you for contact numbers of your friends because there is something about “your relationship” that he needs to discuss with her.
- He has a fear of Commitments
This one is a passé. When a person constantly shut offs the topic of future, he clearly has nothing in his mind. He would say things as if he loves you but marriage scares him. Maybe he is not really afraid of commitment, but fears marrying someone he does not loves a bit.
