Whispers of Hope: Love Renewed in Twilight Years

Sangeeta’s poem explores rediscovered love, embracing renewal and hope in the autumn woodland, in the Special Feature, exclusively for Different Truths.

The vast canopy of her reveries,
Possessed a library of enthralling colours,
Where stories of steadfast love and loyalty
Were written loudly on the banner.

Hand in hand in delightful unison
She found herself taking a walk.
All repugnance, all discord disempowered.
Only ambassadors of love sang loud and clear.

The clouds drenched in soft moonlight
Cast romance in the luxuriant landscape.
She bathed in the petals of gentle drizzles.
And threw a song in the air.

The coils of soft whispers,
Spoke of bohemian dreams,
Nestled on the dry river in her heart and
Surged it into a lapping one.

Life now saw flamboyant joys,
And hope in rosy love.
In the twilight
Of her autumn woodland,
She breathed resplendent delight.

Love coyly said, “You are not wilted yet.”
With its arrival brought scintillating
Rejuvenation in the pale fabric of her heart.

The arteries of her heart have learned to throb.
Hope oozes and says aloud.
Feel the sprinklers of love and be renewed,
Alive in the valley of flowery emotions.
