Union, the End of Love

An evocative love poem, by Rajashree, exclusively for Different Truths.

All my wishes know your name,
Like lightning they strike the sky
The blue desires in my heart open up the celestial gate

A cry for completeness
A cry for you
Each blood cell pulsates with your name,
an unceasing call for you

You come down in torrents
Pounding this parched body of mine

The words you have said to me
The kisses of your lips
An embrace in your arms
All flow like streams

The end of love is to unite
To merge into one
As the turbulent streams plunge
into sea to end in caring arms.
