Trolls in Their Internet Sprawls: Modi Helps Create New Kind of Jobs

The reality is often brushed under the carpet by Modi’s rivals whose numbers will increase manifold as general elections 2019 approach with a deadly certainty. A huge number of those gunning for Modi are people he has directly or indirectly given paying jobs – Internet trolls. A report for the Different Truths.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s three minor children can withstand the north Indian winter in rolled-up cotton shirt sleeves because Canadian children start shovelling snow from age two. It has got nothing to do with a meal of goat curry, basmati rice; tomato sauce with onion on the side, as told by an Internet troll gunning for Trudeau and his Khalistani-fare.

By the way, a green chilly a day keeps trolls away. And talking of prime ministers and trolls, who was it that said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has not created jobs in nearly four years of his rule? Let’s see…the Congress, the Samajwadi Party, Trinamool Congress, Lalu-in-jail’s Rashtriya Janata Dal and airay-gairey assorted individuals whose one statement is taken for gospel by TRP-starved television news channels and their know-all talking heads.

The reality is often brushed under the carpet by Modi’s rivals whose numbers will increase manifold as general elections 2019 approach with a deadly certainty. A huge number of those gunning for Modi are people he has directly or indirectly given paying jobs – Internet trolls.

Yep, young men and women – many still in their teens – have been stepping out of troll-training camps run by political parties by the thousands to take up really-well-paid jobs.

Political parties of all hues and stripes have been hiring thousands of Internet trolls throughout the country. And this did not happen a month ago or a year ago. It started within days of May 26, 2014, when Modi and his cabinet took oath on the lawns of Rashtrapati Bhavan with the Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif watching.

At the time, there was no #OfficeOfRG. That was because the man with the initials ‘RG’ – or simply ‘RaGa’, ‘Pappu’ to millions – was not showing an interest in taking hold of his destiny, which history will attest to is a legacy that nobody could put a premium on, not even those trained to brew a good cup of tea.

But, today, four years on, #OfficeOfRG is a major employer of Internet trolls along with rival #BJP4India. Ask Congress President Rahul Gandhi’s net advisor Divya ‘Ramya’ Spandana. Often she gets gross. A couple of weeks ago she tipped TOP to its back to get POT – turn the tables on Prime Minister Narendra Modi ‘tomato, onion, potato’ sprawl to describe India.

Divya ‘Ramya’ Spandana is the single-woman Internet engine who is behind Rahul’s tweet-turnover. The force behind such classic tweets as ‘May the Farce be with You’, which linked Star Wars’ Jedi to a high-profile Modi cabinet minister whose surname begins with the letter ‘J’.

Spandana recently told her army of Congress trolls to create multiple twitter handles per troll to get under the skin of the BJP. Make it quick, she barked in a pleasant voice. All in a day’s work for the trolls and their superintendent!

#BJP4India has a big enough troll force, if not bigger. BJP trolls, probably better paid their Congress counterparts, have won the party state after state to saffron-India. But in recent months they have been beaten hollow by Spandana, wholly because the arrogance that comes with victory went to the party head! Pardon the pun.

Point is, good guys, don’t win elections! Spandana is proof of the pudding. No wonder, ‘Pappu’ is no longer the ‘baby face’ babe-in-the-woods politician. The combative two-day-stubble makeover came with the surety that a million Spandana-twitter handles will dump the razor to hang on to his coattails with a single Internet call.
