Three Ways to Maintain Your Composure in the Continence of Quotidian Stress

Ritambhara tells us three ways to help us maintain composure in the continence of quotidian stress, in the weekly column, exclusively in Different Truths.

“Calmness is the cradle of power.” ~ Josiah Gilbert Holland

The present lifestyle with loads of pressure and uncertainty poses a great deal of stress. We seldom take care of our health in the rat race to excel. Most of us face challenges and adversities of some kind in our daily lives. We need to find out ways to stay calm and increase our productivity as we walk through the tribulations. Certain things are unpredictable in life, but all those things about which we are aware have the probability to happen should be planned ahead so as to avoid the last minute rush and stress ahead.

  • Time Management

Time management is the first and foremost thing that can help you avoid a lot of stress in our daily lives. It is better to plan things ahead and execute them. Also, handling one task at a time can aid in avoiding unnecessary chaos.

  • Pliability

Despite extensive planning, certain unexpected things are bound to pop up. We should be flexible enough to embrace that change, keep calm and deal the new issues methodically with proper planning. All the tasks are not equally important. Learn to prioritize and take control of the situation. It is certainly in your own hands.

  • Trust Yourself

An optimistic approach and self-confidence go a long way in dealing with the situations. Strengthen your belief system and trust that no task in the world is that tough which you cannot handle. Nothing is impossible as impossible itself says “I am possible”.

Don’t feel shy to take the help of people you trust. Ask your friends or for that matter anybody around and seek help. Similarly, be there when someone needs your help, even if that person is a stranger.
