The Right Approach to Life

Here’s an inward looking poem, where Anoucheka tries to search the meaning of life.

Pray, if life is meant to be as it is
Why should we fight it?
Why should we renounce it?
Why should we fear it?
Why should we hate it?

Should we not indulge in it rather?

Are we not governed by the politics of love?
Should we not let love immerse our hearts
Choke us over
And overwhelm us
Love, for life
Love, for ourselves
Love, for those who are like us
Love, for those who are not like us

Life is meant to be approached in a wise and gentle manner
Life is meant to be lived as it is
We are to accept our due
And dance to the tunes of its soft music

Even if it wills us misery
Or pleasant treasures
We are to live it as if it were a treat

Why, does it matter if I am not perfect?
Does it matter if I am not up to the level?
Does it matter if I am not the best?
Does it matter if I am not made of beauty?
Does it matter if I am always laden with misery?
Does it even matter if I am acclaimed?
Praised and lauded.

Pray, it matters not
For life is a dream
Someday we shall wake up
And things will take place
Meanings will unveil themselves
And we shall see reason behind everything
We shall see why things were
We shall see why things had to be

Yes, we are to accept everything
With humility rooted in our souls
From hardships to death
We are to welcome the many offerings of life
We are to love it
For that is what it expects of us.

Pray Life, lead us on
We shall follow
Yes, you bet we shall!
