It poses so many questions for the patriarchal society where a woman is considered a showpiece. Be it a working lady or a homemaker, we always have high expectations from her!

Already the show has unravelled issues like divorce, mental health, remarriage after a divorce, sexual violence at the workplace, extramarital affair, eve-teasing and so forth.

The character of Anupama is an inspiration for the whole world.

The serial is set up with a middle-class background. Here the unpaid job of a housewife is reflected as valueless and infertile. It matches the regressive mindset of our current lives.

The influence of the patriarchy is as equal as the present situation of our country where a man can marry at any age.

But a woman is always asked to veil her desire under her six yards of elegant saree.

She should not expose her emotions after divorce.

In our society, a divorcee, particularly a woman, is categorised as a characterless person who has no right to raise her voice.

We categorically oppress a woman and try to realise her smallness in our lives.

We always convey to her a message that it is enough for her to live with a minimum necessity. As if after divorce she should ask her family members to breathe!

Anupama as a show often reflects that happiness is a state of mind. You can be happy in the worst situation even if you want!

Love is something hard chased.

It’s so difficult to get true love. Anupama has been breaking all the stereotypes related to beauty and gender discrimination.

Love can happen at any age.

All the characters are so brilliantly crafted.

You will for sure be hooked up to the serial till the end.

It just relates to our everyday lives where a lady is bullied by her mother-in-law and even husband because of her monetary dependence on everyone.

This show offers a unique narrative of a strong-headed lady who strives for success no matter how much society cares about her wellbeing.

It’s laced with a different flavour that is a befitting reply to the male-dominated society.

From a feminist point of view, this show strengthens the female characters with a powerful voice who can raise their opinions on every topic.

Even the male characters like Anupama’s father-in-law and his younger son are represented by the makers as strong enough to stand up for righteous things without caring for the judgemental society.

Economic independence is equally vital for a woman.

We are well acquainted with the term woman empowerment. But how many of us work regarding this movement?

A woman can earn at any age. The loggerheaded Anupama has proven it in her show.

This serial is an eye-opener for all biased people who think that a housewife cannot step into the world of business!

A less educated woman can start a business if she makes up her mind.
