Take Responsibility for Your Life

Priyanka tells us how to take responsibility of our life. A Different Truths exclusive.

We are responsible for our present situation, we are responsible for what we are today and what we are going to be tomorrow.

Our present situations are just the results of the decisions and choices we made in past. In our whole life, we make so many decisions, some very much thought about, some just in the rage of the moment and the consequences we face are long and endless.

…we will never be able to escape from the consequences of our choices.

The truth is that we might get away with the choices we make but we will never be able to escape from the consequences of our choices.

When we get to analyse ourselves, we realise that every blow we got in our life came to us because we prepared it and served the plate to the outside world and they took it further.

We can certainly not control the outside world, but we can take care of what happens inside us and how we handle our inner self. If we keep repeating the same mistakes in our life, we will be getting the same results every time, which will only lead to stress and frustration.

We will never be able to get to the root of the issue and continue to blame the people around us.

…we will find ourselves in the same vicious circle every time we go into a self-analysis.

But this mindset will never alter our present situation, we will find ourselves in the same vicious circle every time we go into a self-analysis.

The only way out of this misery is by standing for self. Taking charge of our own life.

No one and nothing in this whole world can be as powerful as the man himself to let things enter his life and ruin it completely without his consent.

We must work hard and make things right for us.

The bitter truth of life is that it doesn’t come with an easy and glorious package. We must work hard and make things right for us.

Just going with the flow might take you anywhere or everywhere and, in the end, we will be just left with a bundle of complaints about missing so many things in life. But who stopped us?

Take all the responsibility of your life on your shoulders

Take all the responsibility of your life on your shoulders, take responsibility for yourself, take responsibility for your actions.

Making mistakes is a part of life but we need to take responsibility for its consequences.

Only we have the power to alter our present situation, identify what is holding you back, work on it, face all your fears and just make it even with them.

This reminds me of a very interesting management concept, The five-why analysis.

We have a very effective problem-solving technique for permanent solutions to our problem rather than mere quick fixes for our daily life problems.

We have a very effective problem-solving technique for permanent solutions to our problem rather than mere quick fixes for our daily life problems. This technique focuses on the counter measures of the problems when a problem occurs, you ask yourself five times “why?”, you try to drill down to the root cause of the problem and till the time you reach to your fifth why you already have your answers.

The aim of this technique is to find out the preventive counter measure to any problem rather than dealing with the solutions and then eliminating it. For example, my problem is my unhealthy lifestyle:

First why? – Why do you look at it as a problem – because it is affecting my health.

Second why? – Why is it affecting your health? – because I am not sleeping on time and eating junk food most of the times.

Third why? – Why do you disturb your sleep cycles? – because I work till late at night…

Fourth why? – Why you think you work? – For myself.

Fifth why? – Then why are you not taking care of yourself? – Refer to all the whys and its answers.

By the time you reach here you already know what you must do in order to improve your present situation.

… answering them requires a thought process and in between the process, the picture starts getting clearer.

These why? sounds simple but answering them requires a thought process and in between the process, the picture starts getting clearer.

This is just a simple example to show that many times we are aware of the problems and the counter measures to completely prevent it but still we ignore them, we avoid it and this way we fail to take responsibility for our lives.

Take time and go into self-analysis, this way you might learn to take preventing actions to eliminate most of the problems from your life.
