Summer

Anoucheka celebrates summer as shapes poems within her. An exclusive for Different Truths.

Summer rolls in
Tangling my gaze in its warmth
Dazzling my eyes to such an extent
That, blinded, I can only
Shield my face from its shine,
Hoping that somehow,
Its sparkle shall
Plant its seeds in my
Open palms
And allow me
To share with the rest
Of the world,
It’s good vibes
So that, humans,
Lost in their own abscesses
Can finally cure themselves
And dance
In blissful submission
To the joys of the lives
That they lead!

Summer rolls in,
As beautifully as lazy waves lap out
On golden shorelines
And, with its finger,
Traces out in front of me,
A poem,
Which nests itself in my heart
And which bids me to love
Everything,
Which makes me who I am!
