Soulless Body

An evocative poem about longing and loss of love, by Varsha, exclusively for Different Truths.

Snowy road
Captures my heart
Distant destinations
Steals my imagination
Snowfall of December winters
Falling on head like a memories of someone…
And I was chasing my shadow
With a torch in my hand
Little confused
Alone I was…
Wandering here and there
And look, I’ve come very far
From my place…
With the network of thoughts
When you and me were both
Chasing our shadows
In a fun manner…
That were such unforgettable cold nights…
But now, it’s very difficult to me
To explore and chase my shadow
That is nothing but me and myself
In the absence of a soulless body and mind!
