Reminiscing the Romances of Paradisaical Maldives in the Times of Coronavirus

The Coronavirus pandemic has struk fear in the minds and hearts of the people. Locked within the home, Sarika reminsces the romances of Maldives. Here’s her photo diary, a relief to the sore eyes, exclusively for Different Truths.

I can sense no more holidays at least for a pretty long time. It’s hard to fathom how things have changed around us.  The time whole world is fighting against the deadliest common enemy – the COVID-19! Life is completely different now – confined to our homes, attending meeting and yoga sessions on zoom, husband occupied in one room and son kin the other one. We are forced to face the challenges. The unicellular virus destroyting so much, which is beyond our control. Economic scenario seems completely gloomy. Healthcare and scientists have taken the centrestage to save the world. We, the common people, are trying hard to end the darkest era fof our life.

At times I wonder how why this pandemic happened? We have the power to stop everything. We, the human race, conquered almost everything, then why not this. So many people already lost their lives and the queue is yet very long. Together, we will definitely overcome this too. As mom says, time is the biggest healer.

We are not travelling very soon anywhere physically, but my mind is roaming to the mountains, sea beaches and where not..

Let me share my travel memory from Maldives. A land, where every corner epitomises peace and love.

Our son returned from Egypt, and decided to stay with grandparents, so we two flew to Maldives. It was one of the most significant holidays of our life, as our newly minted teen decided not to go with us. Our first international trip without him. We were romancing Maldives.

The country provides peace, unadultered beauty with super luxury. The luxury part you will witness right outside the airport. The extremely rich bright colours of the sea and sky that soothe and repair one’s mind and soul, truly it is one of those places, which will make you completely stress free.

The numerous shades of turquoises make you believe that, there is something called heaven. Initially, my husband was not very happy, as a people’s person, he loves crowds, party, shopping.

Jokes apart, he fell for the beautiful landscape, limitless gorgeous beaches, transparent turquoise waters, number of water sports, beer and complete peace of mind.  Finally, the luxury soaked country stole his heart too.

If you are an outdoor activity lover, specially water sport then it is perfect for you. And do not forget to admire the beautiful sunrise on the Indian Ocean and a sunset cruise.
