Different Truths’ Life Coach, Nita guides us how to start the process of creation in three steps. She uses the Law of Attraction (LoA) principles to show us how these steps work. Jealousies and roadblocks are what we create. It hinders our growth.
Q. I am using the LoA in my daily life. I have been getting things that I want. And yet there are times it feels like I’ve hit a roadblock. How do I overcome that?
~ MS, Punjab, India
A. Let’s start with the basics first. The process of creation consists of three steps.
Step 1: You Ask
Because of the wonderful and diverse environment in which you are living, step 1 comes easily and automatically, for this is how your natural preferences are born. Everything — from your subtle or even unconscious desires to clear, precise, vivid ones — results from the contrasting experiences of your day-to-day life. Desires (or asking) are the natural by-product of your exposure to this environment of fantastic variety and contrast. And so, step 1 comes naturally.
Step 2: The Universe Answers
Step 2 is a simple step for you, for it is not your work at all. Step 2 is the work of the non-physical, the work of the Universe. All things that you ask for, large and small are immediately given, without exception. Every being has the right and the ability to ask, and all beings are honored and responded to immediately. When you ask, it is given. Every time. Your ‘asking’ is sometimes spoken with your words, but more often it is the choices you make, each coming from the other, and each one respected and answered. Every question is answered. Every desire is given. Every prayer is answered. Every wish is granted.
But the reason why you sometimes get stuck is because you may not have yet understood and completed the very important step 3 — without which, the existence of steps 1 and 2 won’t matter.
Step 3: You Allow it in
Step 3 is the only step where you have to work. It is the reason your emotional guidance system (EGS) exists. Your EGS is just like your GPS. It guides you towards what you want. When you are feeling good, you are following your EGS. When you are feeling bad, you have taken the wrong turn. But all is not lost. Just like the GPS, your EGS will redirect you. So your job is to focus on your feelings. Talk about subjects that make you feel good. Avoid subjects that make you feel bad. Follow your EGS and you will never get stuck.
Q. I have a friend who I’m very close to. We spend a lot of time together. We recently applied for jobs and she immediately got a call for an interview, but I did not. I’m happy for her, but at the same time, I’m jealous of her. I don’t want to be, as I know this will ruin our friendship. What can I do?
~ DK, Utah, US
A. It is not unusual to feel bad when your friend is feeling good. But people, who practice the LoA, know that the worse we feel the longer our own good news takes coming.
What can you do in a situation like that? Let’s understand what jealousy is first.
Jealousy is an awareness of the difference between where you are and where you want to be. Jealousy is a good sign because it means you want something. It also means you’re not in Step 3 in the process of Creation, but in Step 1. But you want to get to Step 3. (Refer to the above QA for the steps in the Process of Creation)
Remember, wanting something is not a bad thing. With that in mind, we can reframe feelings of jealousy by reassembling the facts:
1) Feeling jealous is a sign of desire. So what exactly is it that I want?
That simple reframe takes the attention off the negative “gap” and puts it back on the desire.
She already has an interview lined up, but I haven’t even got a call yet. I’d like a few interviews lined up.
And with that simple acknowledgement my attention shifts from not even getting a call (and being irritated that I don’t have any while someone else has an interview) to lining up interviews.
Can you feel the difference? I’m celebrating my desire, rather than dwelling on not having what I want.
When I drop the ‘lack’ (and the irritation that someone has what I want but don’t have) I’m focused on my desire: interviews. And that’s a sweet subject.
2) Jealousy arises from negative comparisons. Maybe she’s better at what she does than I am, or, maybe she looks smarter, or, maybe I’m just not good enough.
These are statements that not only don’t help, but are completely bogus. Keep your focus firmly on your positive aspects and strengths. The idea for these comparisons will not arise.
3) Honor your feelings: Resisting feelings of envy will contribute to more stuff to envy. So the best you can do is, acknowledge that you feel bad, and that your EGS is redirecting you. Follow your guidance and manifest any number of interviews.
