Red Ant Chutney, Trumping in the Boxing Ring, Rab-Ban Calling & Bishop Warns of Narcotic Jihad

Shail weaves her news in verse, for the week, with red ant chutney as a possible Covid cure. Did the courts accept the claim? A new avatar for Trump, as a commentator in boxing. Ray-Ban glasses are smart with multiple functions. Surprised? A bishop in Kerala warns of narcotic jihad. Now, even this? An exclusive for Different Truths.

Red Ant Chutney

Remember, when an ant stumbled
into a dish or drink
we were told, it’s good for health?
Who knew then,
that someone, someday
would use it as medical wealth?!
An Odisha engineer petitioned in court
for a ‘red ant chutney’ as Covid life-support.
A topper the dish was
on Chef Gordon Ramsay’s menu
once upon a time
making the eateries world over
spice in the food grime!
The Supreme Court however, states
no scientific evidence this
so, the entire country must resist.
Of course, the court added,
nobody can stop the petitioner
from trying it out,
 albeit, after a double dose
vaccinations shout out!

Trumping in the Boxing Ring

Trump’s still in the news
as commentator in a boxing fuse.
In a match between Holyfield and Belfort
quite a drastic fist boxing effort.
Interviewed again (don’t ask me why)
a question only Trump can reply!
Who would he choose to engage,
in a match with? Not professionals,
he says, dangerous, but Biden will do.
Down he will go out and through.
Guess, people at the match needed
some entertainment drive,
that’s why Trump’s invited for a respite!
From one loser to another!

Ray-Ban Calling

So, earlier, you used them just to see.
Now, you can take pictures with pixels-d.
Listen to music, make calls too.
It’s the ‘Ray-Ban Stories’ just for you!
A Facebook item on the block,
its first smart glasses on the fashion dock,
available for sale
at dollars two ninety-nine
in US, Australia, Canada, Ireland,
UK and Italy for the first time.
With background noise suppression
algorithm for support-
another impressive media fort!

Bishop Warns of Narcotic Jihad

Be wary of ‘jihad’
a Bishop warns in Kottayam, Kerala.
It’s a destruction drive hullagullah!
There is ‘love jihad’ and then another,
a ‘narcotic jihad’, yeah brother!
In ice-cream parlours,
hotels and juice corners –
it is a life-risking warmer.
In the church, during his talk,
the bishop warns of narcotic stalk.
Rave parties are another game ender,
he states; something we should
prevent and hate.
The future of our children at stake.
In a democratic country as ours, he says,
not easy to destroy communities
with the weapons craze.
So, narcotics is being used
by the accused.
Stay away, he says from jihad-
the ‘narcotic blood bath!’
