Over my Slumbers and Dreams…

Molly pays a tribute to her Bard, Rabindranath Tagore, in this evocative poem, a special
feature, exclusively for Different Truths.

you dwell over my slumbers and
 dreams, my Bard!

 with the velvet touch
of thy verse that lifts me up…

 my heart brims over…

the sea lashing out on shores full,
  then settling, rising again
 whispering to horizons wide…

  together we travel search.
 a sweet sadness envelopes…

the fleeting shadows of life can't deter us…
  nor the engulfing darkness…

our tired limbs long for rest…

the glen, its shady nook invites…

we slumber… hah! how it filters in…
 the celestial light, flooding
 our sleep with smiles…

 Oh, my Bard!
 I need this much,
 only this much.
