Our Teacher

Madinabonu, an Uzbek poet, eulogises a teacher in this poem – exclusively for Different Truths.

The gardens become fallen leaves,
If it has no gardener,
The wolf appears in the flock,
If there is no brave shepherd
The caravan would confuse,
If it has no leader,
The feeders would wither,
If it has no farmer
The teacher is our gardener,
Even our leader and farme
Only our parents,
Are equal to him.
