My Tribute to a Statesman.

The poet-statesman, former Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee passed away today (Aug 16). On behalf of Different Truths, Basudeb pays him a poetic tribute. We, with people all around the world, pray that he may RIP.

I invoke the Muse
To empower Atal ji to outlive even
After his crossing the horizon.
And to make him an institution in our life.
For the growth of Indians,
And for the peace of Indians.

I invoke the Muse
To let us sing harmonious songs of his glory,
As the leader of Opposition in our democracy.
Here again, he is the Statesman with his primacy.
He shows us India is diversity in unity.
He paves the way of our living here happily.

I invoke the Muse
To let him show us
How to live together in our plurality.
The Prime Miniter Atal ji drew the blue print truly.
By making our four cities by road connectivity.
We are now on our way to hope and prosperity

I invoke the Muse
To make India immortal even after his demise.
The Muse grants us that invaluable prize.
India today is indivisible, one and unitary.
Let we be with his Indianness all along,
We will stand by his vision to which we all belong.
