My Emotions

An evocative, inward-looking poem, by Sarala, exclusively for Different Truths.

My emotions run wild at times
Like a tsunami and at times like a volcano in eruption
My love for him makes my emotions
Run wild and weary at times
I give my heart for someone
It’s a lifetime gift
Like spring flowers and crimson red leaves in the autumn
Like rainy nights
Cosy and warm always
Under the soft quilt
Never a spot nor a spec
In my love
I take things as easily as can be
When things go wrong
I blame no one but me
As my approach was wrong, I feel
And in dark clouds I burrow myself
Till I repent for making the wrong move
At the right time
My eyes say it all
My strength and my weakness
My heart feels light
When I write a song of my love
But don’t take me for granted
As I fume at times
Green leaves never remain green always
Just like us humans
I leave yesterday as a gone past story
And move forward with a smile
And heartful of love
Brimming with desire to live and love!
I flow like a river so smooth
Not looking back and weeping!
