T Mukherjee reports the launch of Quotation Anthology of 40 Indian writers. Different Truths, the online media partner, also encourages literary functions. An exclusive.
On the eve of Bengali New Year 1426, Kolkata witnessed the first-ever launch of a paperback anthology which comprises of self-composed quotations by forty Indian writers across the world which includes starry names like French Knight Dr. Prithwindra Mukherjee, UK based renowned orthopedic surgeon Dr. Shankar Kashyap and international award-winning author and film writer Reetwika Banerjee. The book launch was chaired by the patron of Literoma Subrata Bandyopadhyay and motivational coach Sudip Sinha.
The launch of Quotation Anthology on 14th of April was hosted by Literoma at a 
private studio near Belur Math. It was truly a star-studded evening graced by authors, filmmakers, publishers, media, journalists, technocrats, enlightenment coach, birders, and readers around the country. The four hours stamped a mark in the pages of Indian history indeed. Literoma calls them a family and it truly seemed so.
City’s distinguished author Reetwika graced the guests with a warm welcome speech where she delivered the noble idea behind launching such a unique anthology.
Literoma strongly believes that there is a philosopher within every common man and that their thoughts too can touch a billion hearts. That embarked the journey of this Quotation Anthology. To quote the speaker, “We strongly believe that there is a hidden visionary within all of us. Not necessarily a celebrated philosopher should only be looked upon for his quotations. No doubt their sayings are highly valuable, but can someone from us also think as far as a great man? That was our inspiration towards publishing this book.”
The anthology’s editorial panel did not restrict the format of quotations only to usual one-liner forms, they also openly accepted sonnet, short verses, two liners and any creative framework with a drop of original thought in it.
The book got a divine touch where renowned scholar and French Knight (Chevalier) Dr. Prithwindra Mukherjee shared his original sonnet exclusively for the anthology. He conveyed his blessings to the young team with a photo holding the book close to his heart. As a token of tribute, the same was also displayed during the book launch event by the hosts.
The young filmmaker Ankan Roy’s insights about film making and Anupriya Kumari, the youngest of all the contributing writers of the anthology, won many hearts.
The literary night also beheld an amalgamation of quotation reading, poetry recitation, storytelling, discussion on film making in India and the importance of comprehending different types of bird’s calls. The event concluded with an enriching session “Igniting Inner Capabilities” by Sinha.
