Flaws…

An intense and powerful woman-centric poem, by Pragya, exclusively for Different Truths.

  Hey
Can you hear me?
Listen to me carefully
It’s me…
I'm your own
I make you, YOU
I give you your identity,
It's I who rule your thoughts
your dreams…
Your life revolves around me
preparation precaution in protection
protecting me from all eyes
you sleep with my thoughts
wake-up with my dreams
possessed by me completely...

It will take a Crazy Evolved soul,
to fall in love with me,
to make you realise my beauty...
How shamefully you call me
your ‘Flaws’!
Its shocking,
the length you have gone to erase me
the pains taken to hide me…
How ashamed you are of me…
the curves,
the crooked
the cut
the blemish
the tiers
the bulge
the burn
the mole
the spot
the scar...

You recognise but ignore me
You are in denial
In denial of my presence
Exit the denial mode,
Accept me just once
Iron out your wrinkles just once
I am what I am..
I am just you..
I am perfect...
I give you your unique identity
Trust me for once
It’s ‘I’
Who makes you, ‘You’...!
