Sai Harshita’s poem explores the silent suffering of women, highlighting societal injustice and the unwavering spirit of those who rise above adversity, exclusively for Different Truths
She runs the world and hopes for the best
She deserves not this hurt
Extinguished by masculinity
Yet forgives and continues her work
She gets respect from none
Say she must do more
Forced to do ever so stressed
Stays without asking a question
She smiles and tries to hide it
she feels her heartburn
Please stop! she pleads in thought
This forced apartheid must die
Receives not a drop of pleasure
In all the chores she does
No road to pursue her dreams
They say at home, not out
She carries in her womb, a child
a Girl yet to live and learn
Cruel men find to kill
Her little life's not worth
Selfless tears she stays to shed
Told once gone, she's nothing
Daunted and taunted once he's left
Her life's begun to bend
The future woman, the female youth
Let them learn and soar to tomorrow
See them in every great walk of life
Let them advance and pass through no strife!
