Emptiness

An evocative woman centric poem, by Eliza, exclusively for Different Truths.

She stacked the blocks of the future,
but she doesn’t know why.

She built a house,
but inside it’s cold and sad.

She hung the curtains,
but through the open window
blows emptiness.

In the greyness of life she has found doors,
but she does not have the key.

From the balcony, she saw a tall wall.

Will she jump over it?
