Elusive Delight

Here’s a poignant poem about the conflict within, by Dr Ashok, exclusively for Different Truths.

While I walk
And while I talk
Like a hawk
Thoughts stalk.

Good or bad
Gloomy or glad
Often, they cloud
My fickle mood.

Betwixt the “I-ness”
Of wretchedness,
And righteousness,
I grope in darkness.

Yes, thoughts
With new plights,
Often, they fight
For an elusive delight.
