Cyclones, Unseen and Undetected

An intense woman-centric poem, by Anoucheka, that shows her many faces, exclusively for Different Truths.

My reflection,
In the sparkling mirror
Showed a calm and serene woman
One, so content with her life
That only smiles and laughter made up her essence!

My reflection,
In the sparkling mirror,
Could not identify my ethos
Had it done so,
It would have shattered the mirror
Into tiny pieces,
Pieces filled with broods and darkness
Ready to impregnate
Those who would come into contact
With them, and
With their tumultuous turmoil!

Pray,
Absorbing the lot that life
Throws at me
Absorbing it all with gentleness
And calmness
Absorbing it all as much as I can
Requires depth and strength
So much
That I feel,
Like I am lost in a raging sea
Having, as support,
Only a small raft!

I have absorbed enough
The calm woman that I pretend to be
As is reflected in the mirror,
Undid her hair,
Smeared her made up face,
Tore a hole in her gown
And walked to the roof
Where she could see, the moon
As it hung, as calmly as she looked previously
In the blissful serenity of the night sky!

Why, none could discern her pain
All cared to see only the image that she reflected
Maybe, like her
The moon suffered, in imposed silence
Maybe, like her
She would love to fall towards that
Realm of existence
Where emotions had no power
To create in us
Cyclones, unseen and undetected!
