filled with meaning

does a poet
ever know when they’re writing
their very last poem?

I look in the mirror
and see myself looking back
through those same eyes
 
***
 
forgiveness
ebbs and flows
with my heart's bandwidth
 
***
 
I am waiting
for a poem to descend
and alight on my tongue

Her poetry has appeared internationally in a wide variety of journals, two of her poems have won international contests, and one was recently turned into a choral piece for a concert.
