Combustion

Here’s an intense, woman-centric, inward-looking poem, by Bindita, for Different Truths.

I am standing on the sea coast

Inside me, there is a silent shout

I am smoldering…I am burning…

I am blazing

And yes I am flaming too…

The marine waves have botched to compose me

I am smoldering…I am burning…

I am going to squeal…

Louder…I solicited

Would you take a notice of me?

Say…would you set aside yourself?

Most likely I am wide of the mark

Just like a shadow in the dark

I am going to snivel

Shrill…I solicited

Would you eavesdrop it?

I am going to be ill with

I am going to screech

Yes…I am going to toddle

All I and no-one else

I know you won’t be at hand

I know I am not just the thing

I am smoldering…I am burning.

All my Gods are fallacious

I am the reprobate

All my assessments were exact

Except you…and your visage

Encircled by all the cataclysms

Surrounded by all the adversities

But I am better than you…

Far away…yes…far away

I will chortle when I will be ablaze

For sure…yes for sure

I am smoldering…I am burning.
