Chandrayaan-3: A Cosmic Lunar Saga of India’s Triumph

Chandrayaan-3 successfully landed on the Moon, leaving an indelible imprint. Arindam’s poem celebrates the historic moment in the space mission, exclusively for Different Truths.

Amidst celestial dreams where stars unite,
A saga unfolds, bathed in cosmic light,
Two rovers, champions of India’s might,
Vikram and Pragyan, a lunar flight.

From India’s South, their quest took flight,
Chandrayaan-3, a journey shining bright,
To conquer the Moon's enigmatic light,
August twenty-third, their successful height.

Across the void they soared, resolute and bold,
Chasing lunar secrets, as stories of old,
Aiming to touch the surface, to behold,
Their landing soft, a tale to be told.

When the evening clock chimed six-o-four,
They journeyed to Moon’s distant shore,
Exploring the South Pole’s ancient core,
A gentle landing, like moonlight’s soft lore.

The world watched in awe at this sight,
India’s prowess taking its flight,
A lunar feat, reaching a new height,
Hearts ignited with pride's pure light.

In lunar soil, they now remain,
Vikram and Pragyan, names to sustain,
Pushing science's boundaries again,
Advancing knowledge, breaking chain.

Pioneers on the southern terrain,
Humanity's stride, a bold gain,
With heads held high, we proclaim,
Vikram and Pragyan, forever reign.

With pride, ISRO’s Chairman did proclaim,
Of India’s ventures, broad in aim,
Around the Moon and Mars, the same claim,
Frugal methods, challenges we overcame.

From distant shores to the Indian sky,
Flags of unity flutter high,
Global celebrations, hearts awry,
A dream shared beneath one cosmic sigh.

Soviet, US, and China’s grasp,
Had touched the Moon in the distant past,
Yet India's feat, a new diecast,
A fresh frontier conquered, unsurpassed.

So let jubilations take their flight,
For Vikram and Pragyan's lunar rite,
Forever enshrined in satellite,
Legends are born to embrace the night.

In the cosmic tale, they found their place,
Vikram and Pragyan, a ceaseless race,
With dreams that soar, they interlace,
Human spirit-n-cosmos, a boundless embrace.
