Lord Krishna, the invisible force, which is present in the universe has a magical blessing in the lives of human beings. Lord Krishna has been worshipped in various forms. The other forms of Krishna are Gopeshwar, Kanha, Mohini, Shree Radhe, Keshava, Gopala, Dwarakdheesh, Murlimanohar, Nandakumar, Govinda, Mukunda, Nandalal, Ranchod, and many more. Krishna’s teaching to society is to follow the right path and spread harmony in society.  

A girl named Kishori, who is the truest devotee of Shree Radhe and Krishna. She is living in the birthplace of Lord Krishna, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. She left her home and came to the birthplace of Krishna in search of tranquility, accord, and love Krishna. Kishori dedicated her life and supremely developed a spiritual connection with Krishna. She addresses him as ‘Mere Kanha’ and loves him with her whole heart and pure soul.  

Problems of an Asexual Person 

An interesting fact about Kishori is that she has not developed any kind of physical or sexual attraction with any other human being, which makes her an ‘asexual person. Asexuality refers to a kind of sexual orientation in which a person has least interest in developing a sexual or physical relationship with their partner. With her asexual personality in this heterosexual society, she has to face so many difficulties to survive in this society.

Being an asexual girl, she has no desire for other relationships in her life. Initially, in her childhood, she dreamt about Krishna and talked about her well-being and pain. She has felt the presence of Krishna in her whereabouts. It is a mystical feeling to observe her personality, her love, and her dedication to the deity. In her eyes and soul, one can feel the image of Kanha and Radha. She worships Shree Radha as her mother and seeks her permission to love Kanha. She not only loves Kanha but also dedicated her life goal to serve him.

Asexual persons have two types of orientation – (i) sexual orientation, (ii) romantic orientation. Kishori over time develops a romantic yet spiritual relationship with Kanha

Initially, she referred to Kanha as her ‘Sakha’ (friend), but when she realized her romantic attraction to Kanha, then she started seeing him as her husband. She applies ‘sindoor’ (vermilion) for her Kanha. Her way of loving Krishna and romancing with him is quite different in this hetero-normative society. Kishoridances, sings, and paints her heart out for Krishna to show her dedication and commitment to him. She connects very differently with the invisible presence of Krishna.  

Book on Shree Radha 

Kishori is writing a book dedicated to Shree Radha Maa, in which she wants to depict the power of Shree Radha in the world. According to Kishori, Shree Radha is a goddess of love, and she took inspiration from Shree Radha’s selfless love for KrishnaShree Radha is also a symbolic figure of Lord Krishna, which establishes their immortal love for each other. Kishori in this modern technological world, finds her peace and joy in the thoughts and bhakti of her Kanha. 

Note: Kishori’s real name is Koyna Mukherjee (18), belongs to Mumbai, Maharashtra. Currently residing in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh.
