A Pretty Picture

An evocative poem, celebrating nature and life, by Saanj, exclusively for Different Truths.

There in the distance far ahead of me,
A picture so pretty to behold.
Painted so well in colours of beauty...
A story that stays yet untold.
Beyond my shores, a much larger ocean,
Far beyond my eyes can see...
A place where memories seem so frozen,
A haven I seek to flee.
Painted as if an artiste’s creation,
And adorning the sky, pretty clouds,
For a bleeding heart a mere temptation,
Engulfing the core like a healing shroud.
I watch the sun as he sets down on me...
A moment of silence that is so loud.
Some stories are just not meant to be,
Now time to just blend into the crowd.

  • I am an avid reader of Saanj. I share lots of her love fantasies woven in words. Her expression takes me on a flight of imagination riding horses of thoughts and dreams. She is less known as yet. She needs to be discovered. Sooner the better 😍
