Finding Momentary Bliss: The Oasis in a Grain of Sand

Time ran into me one day
while I rambled
on the lonely beach.

“Why are you always in such haste?” I asked.

“Well, that’s my pace,” Time replied.

I looked at the crashing waves
and heard a song of infinity
on their arrogant lips.

And then I took a grain of sand
and smelt an oasis
as a moment slipped
through the lines of my palm.
