Fairyland Magic & Soaring Hearts: An Unbridled Romantic Love

Nandini’s evocative poem explores the speaker’s yearning for a love that transcends fleeting feelings, expressing a deep, enduring passion, in the Special Feature, exclusively for Different Truths.

All around me, I see red hearts hanging from strings.
Red roses blooming with so much grandeur,
Love is in the air, they say.
Arrives with grace in every nook and cranny,
Bringing in the fragrance of spring,
Yesterday, love was new,
Today, love has walked several steps.
Tomorrow, will the love bells
Ring with the same fervour?
Love is in the air, they say,
My heart goes astray.
The daffodils in the valley of my dreams
Sway in thousands,
In so many thoughts of love, I feel you,
I yearn to hear your footsteps at my door.
Can you bring me
Some magic from a fairyland?
Let our hearts soar higher and higher,
Till they touch the sky
And beyond,
The moon may spread its silver veil on our path,
While we drown in each other’s arms
Making new promises,
Swing me to the rhythm of the sea,
To the rhythm of your heartbeat,
Dancing on the rise and fall of the waves,
We'll sail far, far away to
The shore of our romance,
Hold me close, hold me tight,
I can’t stop falling in love with you.
