The Wall

Here’s a melancholic evocative poem by Mohini– exclusively for Different Truths.

Feelings weep through the Wall
The rough, tough mighty Wall
It is not going to crumble under your torture
Under your shrieking midnight falsetto.

The Wall has scars carved monstrously
Upon it, ancient – when you weren’t even there
To inject the pain through it

To poke and play with it.

The Wall stood upon heavy
Against showers of tears
The drought of any sense
A mockery, this stench.

Wailing, the Wall wrapped
In the inconspicuous veil of bravado
It stands high
Shielding itself with a wet eye.
