An evocative poem by Harinder where she sees spirits floating all around without the greed, avarice and jealousies of the living beings – exclusively for Different Truths.
You may think I am a strange bard. As sometimes, to pen my thoughts, I sit near a graveyard I see spirits floating all around Without making any noise or sound They don't care to look at me And I have all the privacy I see there is no jealousy there Perhaps they shunned it with their outer layer There is no lust for money and power This happens when flesh lives in a tower No caste, no religion, no race, no creed There is no avarice; there is no greed There is no violence; there is no fight They have teeth that can't bite There is no desire; there is no crave I don't see a single soul fighting for a bigger grave.
