A Canoe to the Moon

In this evocative poem, Rituparna talks of a lore, exclusively for Different Truths.

A snow haired young woman...
infinite age.
She spindles her wheel there...
by a silver tree.
Fine yarns of warm breath threaded out...
her nimble fingers.
Silky strings wrap up amongst themselves...
birth of a beautiful vessel.
The vessel floats through the rainbow...
bosom of mother earth.
Life is sprinkled on that canoe...
continuity beyond all barriers.
A lifeboat to the moon glorifies life...
eternity of life.
