Freedom

Poonam likens herself to rain, in this evocative poem, exclusively for Different Truths.

Like a raindrop
From the Heaven above
I was born.

Like a water droplet
I would be gone.

A visitor to this planet-
I do not want to own
Assets and relations.

I just want to belong
To the rivers, valleys, and hills.

With no name, no address, no contact number.

Just a light Backpack
To wander unencumbered.
