An evocative and surreal poem, by Chaitali, about a rain-drenched city, exclusively for Different Truths.
Pitter-patter, pitter-patter,
are they only drops of rain?
Or the skies
raining memories,
splashing nostalgia,
opening journals
of closed memories…
lone evenings, shared umbrellas,
waiting tramlines...
broken trysts...
sailing paper boats on lily ponds...
a city drenched,
like a watercolour
on an artist’s wall...
