Quiet Nights…

An evocative poem, by Saanj, exclusively for Different Truths.

Quiet nights like these,
Moistened eyes closed,
Moonbeams on my face,
Thoughts on a random flow.
No time to make amends,
The heart a lonely shore,
Stars too far out of reach,
Holding out for something more.
Seeking my way around,
The darkness, a quieter shroud.
A vacuum so big, the silence,
The clock, suddenly so loud.
