Beams of Sunlight

Dr Brajesh celebrates the radiance of the dawn, in this poem of hope, exclusively for Different Truths.

Dawn of a new day with brilliant hues,
I see the sunshine dappled on the mountain,
And hilltops are lit with a sunrise
By the Fire-god sent, it came;
My most peaceful moments
Beams of sunlight hits my eyes,
And every time the beam crosses your face
When the gaze of my eyes meets yours
Beams of love can heal hurt hearts
These beams of hope, penetrating the ceiling of weightless droplets
My heart’s flame one rhythmic and sensual warm dance
Its rhythm of my soul
Your heartbeat is going at the speed of light,
The world around me is smear-splattered in paint,
I’m stuck, convinced by fate, which you’re the one
I think they capture many moods and hope you enjoy some of them
That’s the way it’s supposed to happen
Feeling your heart beating in my hands
Hold on to that light.
