Bathed in Dreams

An evocative gender sensitive poem, by Eliza, exclusively for Different Truths.

here I am
a woman bathed in dreams
frozen in place on the shallows of life
bored
listening intently to the lost time

I try to fight
fight for myself

here I am
a woman accomplishing her desires

here I am
a woman almost happy
because I still
miss
