Your Memories

A poignant love poem by Aarti, exclusively for Different Truths.

I try

Try from the bottom of my heart

That your memories doze off for some time

In the core of my heart

But they don’t

Coz the moment I enter the room of your memories

I get lost in your fragrance

I get enveloped by your feel

Trapped by your memories

And you become my desire strong

I get exasperated

Coz I am lost

I get robbed

By your memories

Unable, I am to find myself

No more I wish to be myself

I wish my grit to disappear and mingle in you

Only smile in you

But, but, but

They are your memories

Not you

I hate your memories

But love you
