Knowledge Resource Centre (KRC) Foundation successfully launched KRC National writing star contest 2019 and Wai Wai Global Teen Hero India 2019 at the Press Club of India on Sunday 27th January 2019. The winners of the earlier edition of National writing star contests were also facilitated with cash prizes and other rewards during the event. Jambey Wangdi, Chairman (Cabinet Status) Department of Karmik and Adhyatmik, Government of Andhra Pradesh was the Chief Guest of the event. The event was attended by many dignitaries including Phurpa Wangyal, Trustee, KRC Foundation; Biswadeep Gupta, Managing Trustee, KRC Foundation; Deepak Raj Joshi, CEO, Nepal Tourism; S. Nandei, CEO, TQS Global Business Consulting LLP; Manoj Sharma, National Sales Head, CG Foods (India) Pvt. Ltd; Ajay Pandey, Manager, IT & Design, Glocal Pvt. Ltd, Nepal and Lt. Col. Malay Shankar Pal, (Retd.) Cambium Networks.
Paridhi Jain, Master of Ceremony welcomed all guests to light up the ceremonial lamp to start the event.
Welcoming the guests and media persons, Biswadeep Gupta introduced KRC foundation and its activities. He said, “KRC Foundation is a diverse consulting organisation providing professional services in the field of Media & Communication consulting, Training & Research, Entrepreneurship Coaching Services, Project Consulting and Theme based Events. We are currently developing media contents based on socio-political, youths, foreign affairs and we will soon be launching media products such as magazines (both print & digital), web portals and app-based news & communication channels.”
Project consultant Wahab Rizvi explaining the salient feature of KRC National Writing star contest said, “The Key objective of this writing contest is to develop and encourage the writing skills among students and youths. KRC foundation through the soon to be launched 3 magazines, will try to provide a platform to those who are having the flair for writing through our media products. Through this contest, we want to initiate and develop a research culture and identify various issues that affect our immediate environment and eco system. We will try to reach out to students and youth who have the motivation to write and bring them to the national level. We will also involve senior writers to judge this category.”
The topics for writing star contest will be based on the ‘5E for Success’ philosophy of KRC foundation including Education, Employability, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Emotional Intelligence. The contest is open to all the citizen of India and will be categorised into 8 categories, namely, School (Class 6-8); High School (Class 9-12);
College/PG/University; Working/entrepreneurs; 60+ Senior Citizen; Women / Homemakers; Hindi Language and Bengali Language. The contest campaign will be held in 4 phases of 2months each including Feb & March, April & May; June & July and Aug & Sept. Semi-final contest will be held during the period October & November.
Speaking on the occasion Chief Guest Jambey Wangdi, Chairman (Cabinet Status), said, “We appreciate the efforts of the foundation as it is a great learning experience for both government and private organisations. I would also like to congratulate all the winners for their achievement.”
