A curtain raiser by T Mukherjee from Kolkata about a grand literary gala party, on Feb 3. Different Truths is the English Media partner. A report.

This February, Kolkata is going to witness an amazing literary gala party to be hosted by Literoma Publishing Services. Authors from different parts of India will be gathering to celebrate the launch of their books, promote their literary ventures and read self-composed poetry and stories to spice up the show.

International award-winning author and film writer Reetwika Banerjee will be chairing the event. As per her, “Literoma always endeavours to be the launch pad of amateur scribblers to fulfil their dream of becoming published authors.”

The organisers have kept it a free platform for authors who wish to launch their books at the party – a rarity in today’s mercantile sphere indeed.

Literoma’s patron S. Bandyopadhyay said, “We always aim to promote new Indian authors and create a support system for the young writers of our country. A book should be caressed like a writer’s baby, strictly not to be treated as a commercial product.”
