It is Too Late

An evocative love poem, by Sumana, exclusively for Different Truths.

Entire life I searched for
The very feelings that
My heart craves.

I stumbled, fumbled,
Being cheated cried and
At last I wrote my name among braves.

Suddenly you came
And my heart said
God is great.

You are the reason of the
Tint of blush on my face,
Yes! You are the reason of my
Enhancing grace.

It’s your greatness
And your kind gestures
That made me impress.

O listen to me!
You are the first and the last
Person I really loved
I wish you would be my fate _

With all your imperfections
To me you are perfect.

But, O my dear,
O my beloved,
It’s too late!
