An evocative love poem by Monika, exclusively for Different Truths.
Love asks for no possession
neither can it be seized;
Because it’s love, not a tenancy.
No matter, you are in shards or broken,
or woven in a zillion imperfections;
Love isn’t blind, it chooses to overlook.
Love is salvation, it eventually heals.
Undone bruises become silvery scars,
cured by endurance and aegis.
Love is Cosmic,
where time and space stay irrelevant;
as it is boundless, eternal.
Love can thrive through
the meanest winters, scorching summers;
a light and the warmth sustains the hope.
Love remains pristine.
Like the marble is forged for years
and chiselled to perfection.
Love like Truth infallibly prevails.
Dissensions may quieten,
even wizards may fall.

Beautifully, as always, Love finds Itself expressed through this poem too. In Love, true, we rise…in Love, we fall not, as Love falters not ever. Love is transcendental, as is independent, unconditional, and so, says William Shakespeare: “Love is not love which alters when it alteration finds.” Thanks, Monica and Different Truths!
