What Makes Jaitley Go Berserk: His Hitler or the Historical Hitler of the Yore?

The Hitlerian mindset is in full force. This time it might be an expensive gaffe by the great nonperformer, Arun Jaitley. That millions died, killed by barbaric methods under Hitler did not happen during the Emergency. Only a hapless Jaitley was taken away for short while from his air-conditioned comfort to the jail. Believe me that gave his career a fillip. A political commentary, exclusively for Different Truths.

Jaitley has this propensity to go berserk as has been evinced by various facts. That he has this urge to be holier than thou PM sidekick is when he perceives that he is losing his importance in the BJP’s scheme of things.

Survival instincts rush him to blog sensational stuff.

Hence his love for Hitler and his relationship with Indian history. Bunkum, anybody will tell you. That is till the PM extols people to read this piece of marvellous history.

Now, Jaitley feels that he has played his cards well. And that he stands vindicated.

Once he did try to up his ante to gain legitimacy by taking part in an electoral process, only to be found scampering to his blog site after a defeat by more than a lakh of votes. As luck would have it, his defeat gave him a suitable bonafide of not being a serious contender at any stage and thus landed him with two prime portfolios. Believe me, some people have it and some people don’t.

Advani obviously doesn’t have it.

Vinod Rai’s fictitious figures summed up his career and heralded him towards a governorship.

They also launched Jaitley’s desire to go ballistic. He got noticed. Brought the national parliament to a standstill and later called this act of sheer survival, a waste of national time, money, and resources – an electoral strategy.

Jaitley is a minister, Vinod Rai is a governor, Nripendra is an officer for whom constitutional rules were amended and relaxed for him to rule his roost in the PMO. That he was the TRAI chief when A. Raja telecommunications-related activities were the focus of Jaitley’s tirade against him was in full swing is coincidental in his appointment. The arbitrator of Raja’s action was Nripendra.

These guys who helped Jaitley build this charade are where they are now – kings of their fiefdoms.

Despite a theft of such a large sum of money allegedly – the courts didn’t send Raja, Kanimozi or Suresh Kalmadi to jails as convicts.

Jaitley has to go berserk to retain his nuisance mongering antics – other elections are in the offing. None that was promised has been delivered. The spectre of losing at the hustings prompts him to gain attention yet again.

That millions died, killed by barbaric methods under Hitler did not happen during the Emergency. Only a hapless Jaitley was taken away for short while from his air-conditioned comfort to the jail. Believe me that gave his career a fillip.

Mrs. Gandhi’s Emergency never included a war. Actually, it was not even enough to justify its existence by fostering dynastic democracy, as one could see V.P. Singh, Gowda, Chandrashekar, and a host of other folks becoming PM,s.

Even BJP managed to get 2 seats in the subsequent election.

Contemporary lust for latching on to power by co-opting Hitlerian tricks is in fact so evident that I am surprised that Jaitley even opened his mouth. Don’t you see Gau Bhakts (cow vigilantes) slaughter people on the streets, a CM asking people to rape dead Muslim women?

The Hitlerian mindset is in full force. This time it might be an expensive gaffe by the great nonperformer.

In his present state, he is right in saying that there are few things that Hitler did and Mrs. Gandhi didn’t do. She did not kill people as we notice some of them going that ways now. All in the name of religious practices.

Yet again, let me acquaint Jaitley of politics and politicians of the yore. My maternal aunt, Kamal Goindi was an MLA from one of the constituencies of Allahabad. Nehru was the contemporary MP. Ideological differences drove her to join Congress(O) in 1969. She was in jail for 19 months like Jaitley, during the emergency. Political polarisation of thought process does not mean that attention seeking venom being spewed. Sorry.

No way.

India is too great a nation to belong to such failed individuals and ideologies.
