Violence Unleashed on Students is Unacceptable

Sarika tells us that the recent violence unleashed on students of a reputed university frayed tempers. She condemns the violence, in an exclusive write-up for Different Truths.

My son returned home angry. He complained, “How could a reputed institute be turned into a battleground!” Kids mostly comment or express their views on others’ opinions. My child is no little boy. He is into his teens. Knowingly or unknowingly, he started talking about politics. He can differentiate between violence and nonviolence. Students mostly follow what they see around them and start adopting these.

Students must cultivate a sense of discipline, which is one of the factors of a good democracy.

Political awareness is an indispensable part definitely contributing to the development of a society and a nation. Students must cultivate a sense of discipline, which is one of the factors of a good democracy.

Politics in any country makes an impact in schools, colleges and last but not the least, in the universities. Gradually students participate in strikes, processions, demonstrations and they get deviated from their actual goal which is study. It is a stage where many of them spoil their career, Quit a few, perfectly balance both the aspects.

Education does not mean mere literacy. It means an all-round development of the per personality. It makes them aware of what is happening in and around the world. It also develops leadership quality

There is another section of people, who highly recommend participation of students in politics. Education does not mean mere literacy. It means an all-round development of the per personality. It makes them aware of what is happening in and around the world. It also develops leadership quality, and they learn how to fight for justice. It is evident that we know most of the leaders, ministers of today started their political journey from their college life, which later on turned into their career.

To understand the Constitution one needs to be educated and also understand the sociocultural dynamics of the country. So our education system need to reform so that our leaders and students should adopt nonviolent ways. Our media should not focus on the happening news. Instead, the media should expose the reality of the ugly truth.

More than a gigantic 315 million students population belongs to this group. Ignoring the voice of these sections of society won’t help the country progress.

Students are the future of any nation. We cannot ignore these sections of the society, rather we should listen to their opinions and respect them. But at any cost suppressing them is not at all acceptable. More than a gigantic 315 million students population belongs to this group. Ignoring the voice of these sections of society won’t help the country progress.

Recently, the entire nation witnessed how a whole lot of students were beaten in a university in India. If you are an Indian, parent, above all, a human, and this incident did not touch you, then nothing will affect you. What could be the reason to attack them? Is power is more important than humanity? History condemns Hitler for his cruelty, so who will condemn the dastardly violence unleashed on students? Attack on students at no cost is acceptable.

Like me, many of you still have a faith and respect for the Indian Constitution, education system and would like to pursue our work and studies, in this country, in near future.

We are common people. We want to live with a hope and still believe that India is a peaceful country. Like me, many of you still have a faith and respect for the Indian Constitution, education system and would like to pursue our work and studies, in this country, in near future.

I don’t want to talk about ugly politics, but I know we should keep our friends, neighbours, and children safe. The challenge is, how we do it!
